Roughly how many rows should an average bracelet be if I make 5 rows a cm?

I’ve been asked to make a custom design but I’m struggling to center it. I’ve been asked to do a letter in the center of two bracelets.

If the pattern design is 6 rows. I do 5 rows per cm, how many rows do I do either side if the desired length not including shaped ends is 12cm?

And for the second it’s 8 rows of design, 5rows per cm, and the desired length is 14 not including ties, how many rows do I do on either side of the pattern?

I tried following videos on how to work it out but I just got more confused, I originally watched mashas video but was confused so I tried others and that made it worse

Any help would be much appreciated

You have to multiply the cm of the desired length times the rows u make in one cm so in your case 12x5=60 then you take the rows of the design so like 60-6=54 those will be the plain rows you'll have to make, then to center the design just do half of those rows on one side of the design and the other half on the other side. It would be like 27 rows on one side, the design and then 27 rows more. I hope that makes sense!
