I’m confused— 12 strings and 7 colors?? how do i cut my strings? (pattern #10136)

You want to cut 6 strings of white and 1 string of each remaining color.

On top of the first row of the pattern you can see the ends of the strings. There you count how many there are of each colour. Like @Jdog12525 said there are 6 white strings and one string of each of the remaining colours.

if you look at the first row of the pattern there are lines coming out of the top. these lines represent the 12 strings and they each have a letter on them. for colors a, b, c, d, e, and f you will need to cut 1 string for each color. i like to cut my strings at about a wingspans length. for color g you will need to cut 3 strands at a wingspans length of whatever color you are using as color g. then take the 6 strings you just cut and fold them in half making 12 strings. hopefully this helped!
