How will my pattern come in official challenges?

I have a pretty good normal patterns and I want them to be in official challenges, but how do they get selected? 😇

There isn’t really a way you can get yours picked for an official challenge. It’s really just up to the mods on what patterns they do and do not pick. I have noticed that they tend to pick patterns that don’t have any or very few photos to give them a bit of a boost though.

Your observation is correct 😄 @amwatsonOne of the reasons we might choose a pattern is if there aren't too many photos (or if there are none) 🙂 There are lots of other reasons 🙂 and for every mod, it's probably a bit different when considering patterns 🙂 I personally have like a checklist of about 10 things that I take into consideration when choosing in order to make it fair and fun for everyone, while also incorporating some of my own tastes as well 🙂 Uniqueness of a pattern, varying difficulties, interest from other users, low photo count, and time frame are the main things I personally consider (and other mods probably do as well to a varying degree) 🙂 |

Just keep on making patterns! I made a pattern in September and it ended up being chosen for the January Challenge, so really anything is possible. I was honestly wondering the same thing as well before my pattern got chosen, but I would say don’t worry about it too much. Hopefully, your pattern will get chosen one day!
