This sounds weird but when I pull the strings right it kinda hurts my fingers because the string is rubbing up against my skin. Does this happen to anyone else or is that just me??

If I’m undoing a lot of knots, maybe, but it could be that you’re using really rough embroidery floss

You can put a band-aid on your finger or just make your knots a little less tight

I get this when I'm using rough embroidery floss, or crochet thread for knotting. It's kind of annoying, but if you do it enough (with lots of breaks so your fingers don't get rubbed raw), your body will adapt. It will also help to put lotion on your hands after knotting since the thread can dry them out.

well, sometimes my fingers hurt a little bit but not much. if it is really bothering you, try taking break or putting a ban-aid on ur finger. hope this helps! 😄

One of my fingers hurt sometimes, like it’s getting a rug burn except I guess it would be called “thread burn” 😂

But it doesn’t last and it’s only when I knot for a really long time

Yes this happens all the time! I think it depends what brand of string you use though🙂

This doesn’t really happen to me, it only really happens when I’m using a cheaper brand of string. (I use dmc thread and it doesn’t hurt at all) If you need a quick fix just put a bandaid on the fingers that get irritated!

This happened to me sometimes... the thing that works for me is to take a break or wait it out...

This happens to me all the time so I use bandaids or medical tape and take it off and put it on for the day and get a different one the next time I knot

This happens to me aswell! at this point since i’ve been knotting for so long my finger has formed a callus so it doesn’t hurt as bad.

When my fingers used to hurt because of making bracelets, I started tying my knots a little bit looser and that helped! Now my fingers don’t hurt at all when I make bracelets! Another thing I can recommend is: not pulling so hard on the strings if you’re like me and you wrap the string around your fingers to get a better grip on the bracelet. Sorry if this doesn’t make sense.
