What size dowels should I buy and what should the width be for wall hangings

1/4 of an inch wide or anything close to that should work. As for the wall hanging question, could you be a little more specific?

If ur talking about the width of the dowel I recommend like 6 inches long bc I got 12 inch ones which were very bug, so 6 inch should work if ur not doing a huge project (like with 100 strings or something)

I use cheap kabob sticks and cut them to the length that I need them to be. They look nice and they are really cheap!
