While you can take a screen shot of a pattern or print it directly through the website, I'm not sure if you can actually download it. I would just take a screen shot if I were you.

On my iPad I go into the little send button and press the markup button but don’t edit it and from there I press the little send button again and import it into iBooks

when you go to print from the website, on the printer settings you can change from print to pdf to save
