How do I know how to set up the colors for beginning the pattern by looking at the pattern photo??

I’m used to making bracelets, but I’ve never used a pattern like this. These patterns don’t tell you in what order to put the strings when beginning the bracelet, unless I’m missing it. Which I could be. Lol

If you are switching the colours of the pattern, look at the picture of the final result and try to imagine which colours you want to go in place of the original colours. Once you get to the actual pattern, match the setup of the original colours with the colours you will be using. For example, if the original colour was black and you wanted to swap it with light blue, look at where the black strings are placed in the pattern and then just put the light blue strings in place of the black strings. Sorry if I didn’t make sense!
