The tightness of your knots determines how stiff your bookmark is. If you want a more stiff bookmark you need to knot a little more tightly.Other options would be using different material. You could potentially use string that is a little stiffer as the base strings. |

Yeah, I would suggest using something like craft cord or crotchet thread for your base strings. Crotchet thread is cheaper though and it comes with a pretty good amount. The brand I use is Aunt Lydia’s crotchet thread fashion 3

I’ve never tried that, but I think it would be a little difficult to knot on to. The knots could possibly slip off the metal, so I’m not really sure if that would work.
