Hi, does anyone know where I could buy those wooden rod things people use for wall hangings (I'm from the UK)? I am hoping to start making larger alphas and my alphas are always neater when I'm knotting onto something (a keyring etc) so I think using a wall hanging rod will help slightly. What are they actually called and can you buy them in different lengths/sizes? Thanks! 😄

@bbyb I’m from the US so I don’t know if you have Hobby Lobby where you live, but I found the rods there. Walmart might sell them too. I usually call them wooden dowels. Hope this helps!

They’re called wooden dowels and yes, you can buy them in different sizes. I’m sure you can get them off of Amazon, but I’m pretty sure any craft store sells them. You can also use cake pop sticks, skewers, toothpicks, sticks from outside, pretty much whatever is available

@_emilyg same 😂 😂 They get the job down so I guess it works...also I haven't ever like looked into buying wooden dowel but I think the skewers are probably cheaper and come with more....the only thing is that I have to cute the pointy end off because I am a clutz and poke myself every five seconds 😂

@workmanha glad i'm not the only one who can't make a wallhanging without poking themselves with a skewer at least 10 times 😂
