Is there any way I can add variations where I can make two different strings the same color? Since I can't change the pattern of the alpha, it gives me the message that I cannot submit the variation with two different colors being the same color. Is there any way around this?

You can’t merge colors when making a variation for an alpha pattern. You can however merge them in normals by changing the order of the strings, which are labeled with letters that correspond to their color.

You can try convincing them in the review notes why you did, I managed to get one accepted doing that. But then again one of the more lenient moderators accepted it, so idk. |

Please don't do this as we generally don't accept them because they make the colour count of the variation incorrect. I recommend keeping the variation for personal use or making the colours you want to merge similar but different enough so they don't cause a warning. You know you want then to be the same colour and it will be helpful while knotting the bracelet.

@halokiwi i can see how it might make the alpha more confusing, i won't submit anything. i'm hoping there might be a feature that is available in the future that would be able to include variations like these, thank you for the helpful info!
