For some reason, every single time I make a chevron bracelet, I always seem to have gaps in between the knots and it doesn't look good at all. I've tried making the knots tighter and also looser and I just can't seem to not have gaps. HELP!

Are your stings of different thicknesses?

Those gaps are most likely caused by you tying the first half of the knot too loosely in comparison to the second half. To fix this, you can either tie the first half tighter, tie the second half looser, or do some combination of the two. I recommend doing a lot of experimentation and figuring out what works for you. Unfortunately, that means you’ll probably end up making some pretty wonky bracelets with the knotting tension changing a ton 😂 But it’ll be worth it.

The same problem is happening to me but with any normal bracelet I make! @madeleine_ that’s actually pretty helpful I’ll try that bc I’m like 97% sure thats why

every row you should push up with a ruler or something and tie your knots really tight but not too tight bc once i did that and my string ripped 😅

All bracelets will have holes in them if you hold them against light, unless you tie them super super tight but they will be stiff if you do that. If the holes are really big, tie the first half of your knot tighter.

I would tie the first knot tighter than you have been doing. You can also make your second knot slightly looser to take up more space. 🙂
