Hi everyone, so I am having this problem where a ton of my patterns keep getting rejected because of the keywords. The decline message always says that I need four keywords when i already have four!! I am just really frustrated because I don't really know what I am doing wrong. I just want to know if anyone else has had this problem. Also could you guys recommend some good keywords to use in the future? Thanks ❤️

i can't rlly recommend good keywords because i don't know what patterns you are making. But besides that, i generally try to make it so that there are more than 4 keywords just in case. Also, are you words all right next to each other? In the thing, they have to be separated by a space. if you want a phrase but a "-" between the words.

I hope that makes sense!

@CakeCup No i do seperate my keyword with a space. Its just some normal patterns I just don't really know what to put. I tend to use words like layered, weaving, cross, zig zag. I should probably just look at other patterns to see what their keywords are lol.

hey! after you add keywords to your pattern, are you clicking “save and test” before submitting the pattern? that should ensure that whatever keywords you add will be saved. or it could also be that some of your keywords are not applicable to the pattern? when making normals, i recommend adding keywords such as “chevron,” “crisscross,” “diamond,” and “zigzag,” if those elements are clearly visible in the pattern. “gradient” and “ombre” are good keywords to add if the pattern has a gradient. i hope that helps! 🙂

@arf820 thank you for your advice! I think that was maybe what was happening when I didn't press save and test before submitting. 🤔

For one of my patterns that got declined, they mentioned “Four keywords that DESCRIBE the pattern more, so simple, aesthetic, retro, modern, vintage, words like that will help your pattern be accepted, because the point of keywords is that people can search up a word, like Aesthetic for example, and all of the patterns with the keyword aesthetic will come up. Hope this helped!

you could do something like colorful aesthetic rainbow things like that could work and hit save and test so it keeps the keywords you use i think someone already said that.

How would you describe the pattern? Say that aloud to yourself, and all those words you can come up with, the more the better, put them as keywords! Also, try looking at some other pattern keywords to see if you can get any ideas!

Lets say the pattern is a dog, playing with a soccer ball, here are some examples:

Dog
Soccer
Ball
Playing
Playful
Paw
Cute
Summer (if its clear that it is summer, for example grass and a sun)

this is just an example to help you out and to see the idea of what you need to put!
