Hey everyone! I am looking for a variety of tips and tricks to try out for the back of my alphas. I kind of found what I like doing for keychains and bookmarks but I’m looking for tips and tricks for the back of an alpha bracelet. I have heard nail polish works for securing string but the nail polish I got isn’t very good at all, what brand do you use? Any variety of tips and tricks are accepted! I am more of a visual learner and have had troubles looking up video tutorials for it so if you know of a video showing me please feel free to link it. Thank you! 🙂

Hi! I just cut the strings from the backs of my alphas and it has never come undone. You can also glue felt onto the back your alphas, I've heard the works well for people! Hope this helps!! 👍

i also cut the ends of the strings on the backs of my alphas off, and i cut them as close to the bracelet i can get. it hasn’t ever caused my alpha bracelets to come undone, even if i wear/wash them a lot. i know some people choose to glue felt or fabric on the backs of bracelets, or knot the strings in the back once or twice to be super sure they’ll stay put. i also use hot glue on the backs of alphas sometimes, especially if my leading string stops near the edge of my bracelet c:

I use the flat alpha technique which weaves the base strings that you don't use into the bracelet and that prevents it from unraveling.

Masha Knots has a great video that is on youtube when you search up "Flat Alpha Technique Masha Knots". You can also glue felt on the back.

hi, i basically cut the thread as close to the bracelet as possible and then i get some clear nail polish and put it on the ends of the threads i just cut. this stops them from fraying and unravelling. it has worked for me every time. hope this helps : )

I get a thick sewing needle and thread the loose threads into my work and they end up looking really nice. Also dealing with clear nail polish or a clear glue to seal it up so they don’t fray.

for the back of alphas I usually try to cut the excess string as close to the bracelet as possible

flat alpha technique is perfect if you’re planning on cutting off many strings in the back. i usually leave most of them and wherever i added in a new color or ended a color i try and find another loose string to make a tiny knot using both those strings and then cut the excess and add a minimal amount of nail polish. any brand seems to work well for me, i usually just buy a drug store clear nail polish.

I use my hot glue gun and right before it dries I press it down firmly so it is flat. I have never made an alpha bracelet though so I'm not sure how that would feel on your arm 🤷♀️
