So I really messed up on one of my bracelets and its taking me forever to remove the knots. Any tips to make it more efficient or should I just stick it out? 😂 😢

i use a safety pin to undo all of my knots. idk if that helps but it usually does it pretty quickly and i would recommend using a big safety pin to unknot them

Yeah a safety pin is your best bet 😛 It makes it so much easier, compared to doing it with your nail.

If you have any “lines” of knots, then you can use your fingers to sort of pull the line of knots down, and then pull the strings that have been knotted onto out of the knots. Hopefully that made sense haha, let me know if it didn’t and I can try explaining in a different way

I am not really sure what you can do, I use a needle - it takes forever, or I throw it away and harvest the string. LOL they are both pretty bad options

What I definitely recommend is flipping your bracelet over because the knots are a lot easier to undo from the back. I usually just take my finger nails and carefully pull the knots down half by half.

There’s this tutorial if it helps at all https://www.braceletbook.com/tutorials/123_how-to-fix-alpha-and-normal-mistakes/ |

Hey! I just recently was halfway done with an alpha and I realized I was missing a base string and had to start over. In this case, because it was an alpha I could just cut the base strings really close to my last row and then just pull the knots down off of it. But if you were working on a normal, a safety pin or even a thumbtack is definitely the best option(the thumbtack gives you a little bit of a handle which makes it a little easier). Good luck!

Yes I agree with everyone else! A safety pin works super well. It still totally sucks though 😲

if its an alpha just hold down the base strings and pull the knots all the way down. you could take off half a row at a time.

Before I had a safety pin I actually used a pen... not a great idea because I stained my bracelet... but it did work well 😂

I just keep safety pins with me at all times when I make bracelets 🙂

I would just put on some T. V. And unknot it with a safety pin ! 😆

Honestly, there is no great way... a lot of times I’ve just started over but if I’m very far I just use a saftey pin... it’s not easy, and it takes a LONG time but it may be worth it!
