Backing on alpha keychains

I am almost done with my first ever keychain! (hooray!)! I was just curious as if I should add something to the back of the keychain? Like a piece of fabric? I'd love to make some as gifts and I am not sure how people will react to the backings (even though its pretty neat). Let me know if you do anything special! |

You Cana did felt if u wanna cover the stuff up but I don’t think anyone will react badly to the backing because it’s how the alpha just works kinda. If u wanna have a clean backing next time I think @mjlgvw has a tutorial on her insta on how to have a clean backing.

The only thing I do is put felt on the back, using fabric glue or sometimes I use iron-on felt. Those have always worked well for me, and make me comfortable to pass it on to someone else. Another way around it if you ever wanted to try it, is making the keychain back to back.

i’ve seen people add felt or a fabric that matches the color scheme of their bracelet to the back of keychains. i’d recommend using a piece of felt/ fabric that’s slightly smaller than your actual keychain so you don’t see any edges or fraying edges when you look at the front of the keychain c:

I agree with using felt! I would also recommend using felt glue if you have it because it bonds better with the felt's fibers 😊

You really don’t have to do anything but clean up the back but it is nice to sew on a piece of fabric or felt. Some people even add leather ! 😋
