I don't think there is a "best brand". Anything will literally do the job if it's not too thick and not too thin. There are brands that have a better quality than others though. Personally, my favourites to use are DMC and Anchor. Others I use are Le Paon, Moonbrand and Pllieay.

Hi!! I don't think there is a specific thread brand to use but if you are making a pattern I would suggest to use the same brand of string for every color you use so the bracelet looks neater. I like using DMC embroidery thread or loobs and threads. I also get my strings from MIchaels. If you need any more help or if you have any other questions feel free to message me, I would love to help 🙂

All string brands at Micheal's are good (just don't get craft cord on accident) just try to have all the strings in your bracelet be the same brand.

Hey! Like everyone on here is saying, DMC and Loops and Threads are pretty good brands. Loops and threads is often cheaper though and you can buy big packs, rather than buying tons of individual skeins of floss. DMC has a wider color range though, so what I do is buy like 3 packs of basic colors from Loops and Threads and then buy whatever special colors of DMC. I know that Loops and Threads is starting to make packs of not so basic colors which is also exciting! My best suggestion is to go to the craft store, find the embroidery floss and just see what works for your budget, while keeping these brands in mind. And have fun! Getting new string is always exciting!

Side note: @KuteKat what’s wrong with craft cord? While I prefer embroidery floss now, when I first started making bracelets I would use craft cord because it’s what I had, but honestly sometimes it feels a little more durable/stronger than embroidery floss. Obviously if you were looking to buy embroidery floss and you bought craft cord it would be an inconvenience but I think it’s just as good as embroidery floss. The only downside is that there isn’t as much of a color variety

Hi! Most people use DMC, another that is popular is loops and threads, personally I use dmc because it is most accessible to me where I live but I don’t think it is the best brand. Whatever you use will be great! 🙂

Dmc for sure... but sometimes I just use random Cotton thread from shiploads or something- it’s also good for base strings of alphas cause it doesn’t cost as much. I live in Australia and embroidery thread is rlly expensive here

Hi! Much like most of the people here have said, I don’t think there’s really a right or wrong brand, just what works for you. I use a mixture of Loops and Threads from Micheal’s and Prism Friendship String, so if that helps 🙂! I find that DMC just frays way too much for me, so I prefer less loose-woven kinds. But all about personal preference 😊

For me the best thread is in the middle between thick and thin but normally I just get whatever I can get a good deal on but it still has to be good quality so it doesn’t snap easily

There aren’t many options where I live (as far as I can tell), so I make do with what’s available, and DMC is the easiest to get as well as more commonly found around here.

I use Loops & Threads and Le Paon as well as Aunt Lydia’s size 10 crochet thread. (And sometimes DMC). Loops & Threads: I love this brand, they have craft cord and embroidery floss I personally don’t have a preference over craft cord or embroidery floss the only problem I have with Loops & Threads is there isn’t much of a color selection but it can be nice because some of the colors look exactly the same, its nice because I am working on creating an Etsy shop so if I run out of that one color there’s another skein that looks practically the same + it’s really soft). Le Paon: You can get a big pack of 230 (I think) of Amazon for $13.42 it never snaps on me, plus some of the skeins are really soft. Crochet thread (size 10): There’s literally nothing to say about it it’s the best (some people say you can only use it for base strings but it’s actually thick enough to be in normal or alpha bracelets (not as base strings but the can be base strings). DMC: I personally only have “special” DMC thread (so like sparkly thread, color changing, gradients, and cotton pearl)it’s definitely really pricey I personally don’t think it’s really worth all the money to spend like 100 dollars on a pack of like 35 DMC threads because it’ll be gone like that 🤌🏻 (Yes I just snapped my fingers, now I’m the sass queen) but the have lots of color varieties. You can get Loops & Threads from Micheals. You can get Le Paon from Amazon. You can get Aunt Lydia’s size 10 Crochet Thread from Micheals as well. And finally you can get DMC from Micheals too. I went over the top didn’t I 😂 any ways I hope this helped!

I recently went to Michaels and I got aunt Lydias size 10 ( don't get size 3), a 36 pack of neons, a metallic skien, and a 36 pack of prism tie dye. Prism is cheap but low quality. It works of you like it.

It really depends on preference, however I find that certain threads, like prism pearl cotton floss, might snap more easily if you tie really tight knots. I usually use DMC or loops and threads.

I’ve heard that Loops and Threads are good, DMC is also good but I’ve found that they frey at the ends easy. Personally I just buy bulk packs off of Amazon and sometimes the quality ain’t great but most of the time they’ll have a ride range of colours for a relatively cheap amount of money
