most of the people cut their strings from index finger of their left hand to index finger of right (vice versa obvio) and i believe that its called a wingspan 🙂

I reckon your arm span, finger to finger, but i really depends on the pattern because in some patterns you use more strings than others.

i usually do my wingspan for normal patterns and fold it in half for the loop. For alphas, if i am going to need loads of a certain colour, I just dont cut it - I leave it on the bobbin/skein.I hope this helps 😄 |

For normal bracelets I do a wingspans length or around that. And for alphas I take the string in my hand and bring it to my shoulder or around half a wingspans length

When I make normal patterns I cut a wingspans length and for alpha patterns I just guess the length based on the pattern.

I measure my wingspan by going from the tip of my middle finger (left hand) to my other middle finger (right hand).

Each string should be roughly half a wingspans length, so if you’re folding them in half, make each color a wingspan. There’s also a forum in the site and app section, called STRING LENGTH CALCULATOR, so if you want exact measurements, that may be able to help.

for normal bracelets i do a wingspans length. if you don't know what a wingspan is you can just google it and it will describe it better. the color i use for the loop is usually longer and same with leading strings in alphas. also you can leave extra string for ties if you want to! 🙂

Hi, I usually measure it out to be a wingspan and a half, doubled over. This makes a good 5 1/2 inch. A little more would be good for 15 cm. 🙂
