Where is the button to create my own patterns

you have to be on the website not the app. then hover your mouse over your username on the right side of the screen. a drop-down menu should come up and then you will see an option that says create patterns at the top of the list. you can then select alpha or normal and create the pattern!

You can only make patterns and variations on the website, not the app. Go to your avatar on the top menu bar and there will be a drop down option 'Create patterns'.
