So the spaces are from not tying your knots tight enough. Make sure you pull your knots tight n the edge. It widened because of your tension. It comes with experience, you just have to make sure your rows are even.

Your keychain is super pretty! ❤️If you keep to the same or similar tension it shouldn't widen, it takes a bit of practice to get it right to keep it consistent, so practicing will help. Also, some people find (I am one of them) that if they knot the pattern a little tighter (as colour changes causes it to widen) and the background that little bit looser then that fixes it. So its just a case of practicing and playing around to see what works best for you and your method of knotting. As for the sides, make sure you position the knot firmly against the knot above it. You could push it up with your fingernail, or if you have any object with a straight edge you could push up the knots in the entire row, just to get them to sit correctly. Maybe tightening the knots too (some people knot the edges loose subconsciously) will help fix it. |

Hi, I think your keychain turned out beautiful! One of the possible solutions for expanding ends is to be extra careful with the tension of your knots, especially on the edges. Loosening knots overall helps the improvements of alphas, and really neatens up the knots. I hope this helps! 😄

Maybe try using the straight edges technique, which is doing a fb or bf knot on the end of every row, then making another one to start every row

Hi! Before I start your bracelet looks amazing. I think the wholes are from the inconsistent knotting tension and the wholes are from when widen when there are more color switches and different colors.

Try to line up the rows with a ruler while weaving

It looks like you might have been doing the straight edges technique but missed the second bf or fb knot. You always need to make 2 bf or fb knots right after each other because you are replacing both the first and the last knot of each row.
