i understand the base strings but i don’t understand the part where you have to bring the strings under the base strings.

Could you explain more in depth on what you're confused about? The base strings are there for the background strings to go onto. You tape down the start of your color behind the base strings (under them) and then do normal knot's. Masha has made a few videos on how to do alphas if you would like to check them out!! She shows you step by step how to do things |

It's to prevent the string from popping out in the bracelet 🙂 if you have the strings in front, then it's a different technique, and your overall bracelet will look different. you can keep them in the front if you want tho!!

I usually use a piece of tape and leave a small tail. Then move your background strings out of the way so you only have the ones that need the new string. Then create your knots. If you want I can attempt to make or find a tutorial for you
