You have to gain attention, so to speak, of the admin and mods. If they feel as if they need another mod, then the current mods and admin will do some stuff to choose one of the users. Some ways to gain said attention would be to: help answer questions, be helpful on the site, be kind and just be a positive influence.Hope that helps! |

You need to be at least 17 or like a few months away from being 17 I think

i think the age requirement is 17 but you have to just be active on here by posting patterns, photos, variations, forum posts, and participating in challenges and stuff.

The only requirements seem to be that you are above ~17, are active on this site often, have been a bracelet king for a while, and have been on this site for more than ~4 months. I could be wrong since I am not a moderator, but those all seem to apply to the current ones. It also seems like you need to be active often and get noticed. Having a popular Instagram or YouTube will help and so will post on the forums (helpfully) a lot. You should also make sure that you actually want to become a moderator because a lot of people don't really realise what it means (even I don't).

I’m not a moderator, but this is quoted from the FAQ “ We have a pretty extensive set of rules when it comes to choosing a new moderator to the website. The first step in the right direction is you getting noticed by one of the members of our team for being helpful to the community for an extensive period of time, or having a great profile with a lot of great patterns, photos, etc. It also helps a lot if you're a long-time user, or a well known member of the community and are tying bracelets for a longer period of time. If you'll get noticed, you'll be added to the list of potential moderators, which we always use when looking for a new addition. All our admins and moderators then get a chance to vote for one or more users from that list, and the winner then has the opportunity to join our team.”

As @oceanknot said in their message from a mod which I have seen somewhere on the site. It takes a while, and unless they need a new addition, which as you can see there are only a couple of them at the current moment, they won’t vote would be my guess, so just keep being active in the community and rank up, although don’t get your hopes super high 😉

I'm not a moderator, but to become one, you have to me a very active user, and contribute lots to the bracelet community. For example, posting photos, if you have a YouTube channel, tutorials, helping others in the Forum, as well as creating patterns and participating in the chat. If the mods or the admin notice you, then you will be added to the list of possible u sers who could become mods. I hope this helps! 😄

Yeah I you have to be at least 17, and you need to be helpful to the community. 🙂 You can look at the FAQ and there will be a section on how to become a moderator.
