I don't really know how to explain what i'm asking.Hope you guys understand. So when you do alpha ,your string for the background...you will stick in to the surface using some tape ....so when you're done making the bracelet what should I do with the string?I'm sorry it's quite complicated 🙁

@snippysnip I’m pretty sure I get what your talking about. The strings that really made the pattern, not the base strings correct? In that case I just cut them off and the bracelet is so woven together it won’t matter. You could also tie a little knot at the base if you are nervous about them unraveling.

I tie knots at the ends of my alphas. So i just tie them into the knot closest to the string

you can start the alpha off with a loop, make it on a keychain ring, a dowel rod/stick, or just with normal knots

You can glue it to the back, tuck it under another string, or just cut it straight off

I usually tuck it under the pattern, then finish it off with the ties (which for me are the same ties for keychains). Since you have not yet done anything to that background color, then snip it off. It should be secured because the ties should hold it in place. However, if you are worried about the knots coming undone, then I would suggest either gluing the excess string or covering it in clear nail polish. I hope this helps! 😄

I snip it all off and I’ve never had a problem.
