You rank up by adding patterns, photos, variations, commenting in the forum or on patterns, joining in on official challenges (that's the small number next to your icon), but what will make you rank up that fastest is adding friends!! Hope this helps!!

I would just like to add that you can’t add friends or post in the chat until you are Advanced. It doesn’t take long to rank up, so you should be good to start adding friends in a few days!

you have to be super active on the app and just upload photos and post pattern designs. you can also add todos and add friends and participate in the chat and forum
