Hi, to create patterns you need to be on the website, not the app. On a computer you hover over your username on the top right, on a phone you click on it. Then you select “create patterns” in the drop-down menu. Then you can choose if you want to create a normal or alpha pattern. For designing normal patterns I can recommend this tutorial https://www.braceletbook.com/tutorials/34_designing-normal-patterns/ and for alphas I recommend this https://www.braceletbook.com/tutorials/74_how-to-tweak-patterns/ |

you have to be on the website, and not the app. then you click under your profile and it should say “create pattern” and you can add either an alpha or a normal bracelet and make your pattern : )

Hi! Here are some video tutorials I would highly recommend. These are both by @KrazyKnotz.How to make normal patterns: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c_2uZ1RQ5Jc And for some tips on getting normal patterns accepted: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HolYORv9P8E Alpha patterns are basically pixel art. The tutorials @halokiwi gave are really helpful as well. 😊 |

For normal patterns the letters are the number of strings and what order the colors are. With the generator you have to add 2 rows at a time and have the right number of knots per row expected of the number of strings you have. Here’s how to know how many knots per row you need: If you have an even number of string, the odd numbered rows will have one knot for every two strings and the even numbered rows will have one less knot than the odd numbered row. So if you have 16 strings, the odd numbered rows will have 8 knots and the even numbered rows will have 7 knots. 16/2=8, 8-1=7 If you have an odd number of strings, you subtract 1 from your total number of strings and then divide the resulting even number by 2. The even and odd rows will have the same number of knots. If you have 15 strings then every row will have 7 knots 15-1=14, 14/2=7 It’s really useful especially if you’re making shaped bracelets and need to know how many ( ) no-knot symbols you need |
