Am I the only beginner that has no idea how much string to cut... and if i really have to cut them as long as i feel like i do, how the heck do you guys keep them from being tangled. i’ve wasted so much string. i’m so frustrated. plz help.

General rule of thumb that most people go by is to cut your strings a wingspan in length! Much more tends to get very tangled and less leaves you short. You can add string in later but if you’re a beginner I would start there! 😉

so when you’re doing a bracelet you fold in half do you do 2 wing spans?

You fold your string in half, so it’s half a wingspan. If you run out you can always replace your strings though. If you have any other questions, tag me like this @oceanknot , so that I can get a notification

it depends on how long or how wide the pattern is you are making. plus you can always add more strings!
