Hey just wanted to know why mods do not accept political patterns, but they do accept faces of political people if that makes sense.

Ok so those are fine as they don’t represent a political party. For example, they will accept those, but not ones with trump or Biden. I think this is because those people are like inspirational and not as political as a pattern that says trump 2020 or Biden 2020

hi! we do not accept patterns that represent or support a political party or candidate. for example, we do not accept trump 2020 or biden 2020 patterns; we also do not accept patterns that specifically represent the republican party or the democrat party. 72797 is acceptable because it is depicting an inspirational poet, who is not a politician running for a political office. 55153 is acceptable because it is depicting an inspirational supreme court justice, who is also not a politician running for a political office. we stopped accepting political patterns because they were simply getting too controversial and they were causing a lot of argument and divisions in the community. i hope that clears things up! 🙂

Hey what about memes of political people?? If it's not to represent a political party but is just of a viral picture of a political figure is this still not acceptable ??

@IdkToro memes representing politicians are also not acceptable. It does not matter if a pattern is in support of a political candidate or not. Once a politician is on it or there's a reference to a politician it counts as a representation of that politician.

@halokiwi so someone like Ben Shapiro would be allowed since he’s technically not a political figure since he hasn’t ran for office and is just a commentator.

@Faye102 I'm not super familiar with him but since he is a political commentator and has written books about politics he would also be considered as too political.

@halokiwi so that means someone like Don Lemon wouldn’t be allowed either

@Faye102 I'm not American and I'm unfamiliar with many American public figures. If I were to review a pattern of a person I don't know I would check back with the other moderators and do some research myself.I can't give you a yes or no answer to this right now unless I would do some research which I don't think is necessary in a completely hypothetical situation but if you want I can ask the other moderators what they think. Maybe someone of the other moderators who is more equipped for this could take over this communication. |

@halokiwi I just think that the moderators wouldn’t treat both sides equally and have their own views effect the rules that are in place, but thanks for trying to answer my questions I appreciate it.

We try our best to treat both sides equal @Faye102Over the last few days we for example had to decline several patterns of the mittens meme |
