So iam from Egypt and i cant find embroidery floss in my city but i found other type like wool and here is the problem. When i make alphas it turns so bad and gets bid and small😰any way one of my school teachers saw my work and gave me something like cotton so i tried to make an alpha pattern with it and it worked so why wool do that??

The reason might be that you are using string of different thickness or string that varies in thickness.

just because the string is the same thickness, doesn't mean the knot is going to turn out the same size. That's what they were referring to. make sure that the string is all from the same brand if you can, or that they all make the same sized knots
