hi! anyone have any ideas of where i can get a big roll of white thread thats not too expensive (around £5 maybe) to have for bases of alphas and things? ty x

I got a huge roll of white crochet thread for $5 at Michaels months ago. It is thinner than most thread but I usually double it up.

On Amazon there is crochet thread, there’s aunt Lydia’s for $5 or $6 but I’ve also used a brand called red heart for about $2 or $3 that works well too. I’d recommend using fashion 3 rather than size 10 because size 10 is thinner.

Also it is size 5 which is about the usual thickness of embroidery floss.

You can get a big role of crochet thread and find the smallest size. I have found it at almost any craft store.
