So, I'm beginner and I'm making a lot of bracelets to practise. I realised that my bracelets aren't straight, and my sister is professional in making bracelets and she told me that I should make them more loose because I'm making them very tight .. So I tried to make them more loose but my bracelets were the same as I did them before! What should I do to make them straight???? Please help!! 😭 😭

the straight edges technique will your bracelet be straighter, tighter knot tension can help prevent your bracelets from being stretched out, so if you combine both skills then im sure your bracelets will be where you want <3

The straight edges technique is helpful for making them more straight and you should make the knos even tight so they must be all tight or al a little more loose

I use a ruler or something straight and after every other line I use my ruler to push the knots up and make them straight

Heyyyy! I’m not really a beginner but I noticed that a few of my bracelets were turning out wonky and I wanted to make them straight edged. I watched a few tutorials on YouTube and found Masha knots’s tutorial to be the most helpful, however I didn’t understand how to do it with the second pattern. Does anyone know how to add the extra string to the pattern to make it straight edged?

@amaara14 What do you mean by second pattern? You can add in string while using the flat alpha technique, but I’m not sure I understand your question

@oceanknot Sorry! I meant in the masha knots video, she shows the technique with two patterns. For the first one it was easy cause the pattern already had the forward and backward knots on the same colour strings. But when she got to explaining

But when she got to explaining how to use the technique on different patterns I got confused as the pattern I want to make has some knots on same colour strings and some knots on different colour strings.

@amaara14 Oh sorry, I thought you were talking about alphas, I don’t really know much about the straight edge technique for normals
