so im trying out mking alphas and the pattern im doing has a colour switch the second knot from the edge of the row and on the end you can see where i switched the colour, is there any way to prevent this?

Yes, there is a way. You don't make a flat alpha color switch. Just make a normal color switch. Alex's innovations has made a good video for alpha color switch tips and tricks
