Is it ok to flat iron your bracelets?? To make them flat?? Or will it burn it??

I wouldn’t recommend that. Instead, you could lay a bunch of heavy hooks or a brick on top to flatten it

I use a hair straightener at 200 degrees f and do it quickly. I have never had any burning problems.

I put mine under a bunch of books to straighten them, but I have heard that other people use straightening irons.

the thread i use is safe with ironing, but what i do is put a decently thick cloth on top of my bracelet and then iron on top of that, so that there's some sort of barrier protecting my bracelet. i've never had any issues with my bracelets burning or anything! 🙂

I have done it before and it doesn't ruin the bracelet. But there are other options to use as well like putting a heavy book on top!

I almost always use my flat iron to flatten out my bracelets and it has never ever burned the bracelet. I don't recommend using an iron on super high heat but my flat iron is at 410 and it always works. Its much more efficient in y opinion than using books

something that I do is put them in a big book for like a week because then you can't mess up the bracelet. Just make sure that you put it in the way you want it to be.

I think the bracelet would get extremely stiff and uncomfortable to wear so you can use a heavy book or a rolling pin

It’s a good idea but like u said u might burn it and ruin your bracelet.

If you have any sort of waxed cord or one that is made out of (I think) polyester, I would advise against heating it up because you will melt the string.

I don’t recommend it unless your string is a good quality that will not be affected by an iron. If you take a dictionary or a pile of books and put them on top for a day or two it’ll be straight!

@sunshine5 I do because it is a piece of fabric like clothes and nothing really happens

I think it will be fine as long as your string is 100% cotton other wise the bracelet might burn or melt

I put a dish towel over my bracelet and put it on the cotton setting. I keep it moving as not to burn it. It is usually fine for me this way. 👍 Hope this helps.
