I need chevron help

Ok so every time I try to do a chevron it turns out funky. The part I feel is causing that is knotting to the two middle strings together. Does anyone have any tips for that?

Make sure the first half of the knot is tight before you do the second half. This is because the first half is what holds the knot if place, so if that isn't tight, then especially in chevron, the bracelet can turn out wonky.

I just wanna say, make sure that both of your types of knots (backward and forward) are the same. Like by that I mean that you tie them the same and you are just as confident to one as to the other ok? Happy knotting!

I kind of have the same thing too. When I go to do the center knot, it funks up the other knot before it because im trying to pull my center knot really tight. What I do is hold the previous string down with my pink while I pull my center string tight enough. Its kind of weird and some dexterity in the fingers helps. Idk if that makes sense but either way I feel ya

Make sure that both types of your knots are equal in tightness. Then, your bracelet will be balanced and it will not turn out funky! Thank you for making the forum post for me to comment under! I hope you take my suggestions into account! Happy knotting!

Make sure you are knotting your forward and backward knots at the same tightness. Also if u make a mistake use a safety pin to undo the knot if you aren't satisfied with the way it looks.😁

All knots should be almost the same. Make sure you tue them similarly. Try doing candy stripes with b knots too instead of just doing f knots.
