To start out with normal pattern I recommend pattern #2.To learn how to read normal patterns I recommend MashaKnots' video on reading normal patterns There's also a written tutorial by @2006_Mandy https://www.braceletbook.com/tutorials/114_how-to-read-normal-patterns/ For normal patterns it is important to have a consistent knot tightness and to not pull the bracelet to the left or the right while knotting. |

I also recommend #9 when you’re done with #2. It involves forward-backward and backward-forward knots which are useful to know in normal patterns.

#9 is also a good bracelet to start off with. @innovate Alex innovations has a tutorial on it on her youtube channel.

Some ways to make a pattern look good is to use colors from the same color scheme such as blue green and violet or red orange and yellow. You can add bright colors for the pattern and a dark color for the background 🙂🙂

Some ways to make your normal patterns look better is always cut longer then necessary strings so in case you run out and have strings hanging out the bracelet if you add more. Another way to have your normal patterns look better is to tie your knots on the tighter side so the pattern isn’t bumpy. The last way I’m going to tell you is try to make sure to use the same thickness of string so many the same company so the edges are nice and smooth and strait

i recommend #2 #9 and #18 for beginner normals. i think you should watch kinsey b’s tutorials for how to read normal patterns. you may already know how to read them idk though. it’s on her youtube channel btw. also her channel has lots of other beginner normal patterns that have tutorials.

When you make normal patterns just make the knots tight and instead of making a straight line like when you make alphas you are making a triangles to form the pattern. some patterns i would recommend is #2 #18 #17990 #17870 and #17608.
