Hi! i'm wanting to make my first large normal pattern and i don't know how long to cut the string. the patterns i am looking at are #25054 and #30581 and #41622. these all have 18+ string and i don't want them to be too short. can anyone tell me a safe general length to cut my string??

any help will be greatly appreciated 😊 😊

HI! I usually cut my strings the length of my wingspan then fold them in half. It is almost always the prefect length for me, but you can always replace strings or use the extra string for alphas. Hope this helps! 🙂

Try to make it a bit longer than your wingspan so you have a comfortable length of strings.

i think it would be a good idea to do the wingspan measuring thing, and just fold them in half to make them a comfortable length. you can also find tutorials on replacing your strings in normal bracelets in case they’re too short

I use my wingspan and a little extra just in case. I think it is easier to have extra string left than to have to replace a ton of strings so. I hope I was able to help

The guide I usually use is for bracelets with loops use a full wingspan folded in half and for ones where you’re not making a loop and are doing ties on both sides use from your fingertips to your opposite side shoulder (like left fingertips to right shoulder)
