Best Way to End a Keychain?

Whenever I make a keychain, especially one with a border, the ending always looks awkard. BTW I mean the way to tie it off, if that makes sense. So I started gathering all the string and doing a few knots to tie it off then cutting it all the same length. Idk if that made sense.

Kinsey b has a tutorial for a good way to end alpha keychains in her "alpha keychains" youtube video. You could also just tie a knot at the end with all your base strings.

i personally like to end keychains by doing a square knot (with a piece of scrap thread) and then tie it tight and cut the strings to whatever length you want! kinsey b has a tutorial about alpha keychains where she shows this technique!
