help me with the alpha teardrop loop 😬😬

Hi!! 😁 So i wanted to make the pattern number: # with an alpha teardrop loop. So i watched the video of masha knot over the teardrop loop. I had 21 base strings plus my leading string and when I made the loop I had 11 strings on each side so an odd number of strings. But in the video of masha knots, she only says how to do it with an even number or strings. So now I really don't know what to do anymore. Can someone help me?

So most bracelets have a base color, I would just add another string to match the base to make it even. You could also make a border around the edge. Sorry if I wasn't much help.

Are you sure you said the right pattern? The pattern you mentioned has 19 base strings.

My recommendation would be to have 10 base strings on one side of the loop and 9 base strings plus 1 leading string on the other side of the loop. The 10th base string on the one side would be the end of the leading string.

So you would basically have 10 strings on each side to do your triangles with. That's an even number so there shouldn't be any issues

If you want to do 11 strings on each side you can make slightly lopsided triangles with 6 strings on one edge and 5 on the other

If you paste this into the normal pattern generator you can see what I mean:

Thank you @halokiwi 😁 It's the correct pattern I said but I just reversed the pattern (so now I have 27 base strings) and then I subtracted 3 strings on each side so I have 21 base strings plus my lead string is that 22.

Oh and thank you @Sharanya12 and @oceanknot. I think I will just do an odd triangle it will not look perfect but that doesn't really matter 😜

No problem! I’m still not even sure how to do a triangle end with an odd number of strings for normal patterns.
