you should always make the strings a bit longer than you think and you can make a bracelet as long as you want! If you have extra string you can make a rag rug bracelet(there are some tutorials on here) but for a standard V bracelet I take an arms span of thread and then double that in two for each color. I hope this makes sense! 🙂

When I make a bracelet I regularly check if it fits my wrist by just laying it around my wrist. This helps me figure out if I need to keep going or if I can end the bracelet.

I usually make my bracelets 5-6 inches. I've actually marked a spot on my clipboard where I should end the bracelet at. I also added inch lines to show how long the bracelet is. If you don't use a clipboard, you can make the bracelet and measure the bracelet on your wrist until both ends touch. If that helps at all...

I always make my strings longer than I think they should be and generally I've found that somewhere between 95-110 rows is the sweet spot for bracelets depending on who it is for.

I normally make my string my wingspan which is if I hold on end of the string with my arm stretched out to the side and then hold the other end and do the same on the other side (I don’t know if this makes sense)

my bracelets go from 5 inches (children) to 7 inches (male adult) with adjustable tie. I typically just use a wingspan if the bracelet is about 12-18 strings wide. I use a clipboard, And I drew a ruler on the side of it so I could measure as I go 🙂

I have found that for anyone over the age of 10 (roughly) has a wrist size of around 6 inches, I usually ask for measurements before I start the bracelet.

@AerisCo what i like to do is to Wrap the thread around my wrist something like 5-6 times. i found that the tread is long enough for me. do some experiences and find what work the best for you, if you do a teardrop loop wrap the tread around your wrist again (if you wrap it 6 times wrap it 12 time) also look on the patten and see which color you gonna use the most and make it longer then the rest i hope you find this useful! (i'm so sorry about the grammar i hope you can understand something from this)

About 5-7 inches for me. That normally fits a good average sized wrist.
