The number is the number of rewards someone has received. You can get rewards buy joining in official challenges and reporting duplicate patterns. Rewards can help you rank up.

those are rewards. you can get them by being in a weekly or monthly official challenge. those are hosted by moderators and they reward you for participating. the challenges are usually called official monthly challenge or official weekly challenge.

@Galaxy_Gal yes. there is currently one called official december monthly challenge 2020. they have them every week and every month. it’s in the challenges part of forum. all you need to do is pick one of the patterns that they have listed and make it. then just take a picture of the finished bracelet or keychain and put challenge somewhere in the photo. most people use a piece of paper and write challenge on it and take a picture with the paper somewhere in that photo.
