copying a challenge?

so ive been really wanting to do a series challenge but i know a lot of people do them but i dont wanna copy anyone. could i still do one? or should i ask someone if i could?

Hi, in theory you can do any challenge you want but as you know some people get upset when they feel like you are copying their challenge. Therefore it is best to ask the people running similar challenges if it would be alright for them if you did a challenge like that as well.

Hey so it just depends on the challenge in alot of people are doing like Christmas ones rn and diffrent things just incorporate it in your own way have a diffrent name and patterns so you are not copying in any way

i don't really think you can copy a challenge because the idea has been done by so many people. i did a raid my to-dos challenge a while ago but nobody got mad at me or anything even though it wasn't my original idea. if you want you can put a disclaimer and say that it was not your original idea and you don't know who the original creator was but you liked the idea. or something similar to that.
