I was wondering if anyone has tried the dmc threadship is. It’s cheaper than the regular stuff and i was wondering if it’s worth it?

Idk, I’ve heard that normal doc is better. I use normal dmc, but I’ve never tried threadship . I’ve been wondering the same thing.

I personally think that the regular DMC is nice especially if you make it for a long time it can be harsh on the skin so I would prefer something more smooth.

I bought it a few months ago and it’s really nice! it comes with 3 of each shade and also comes with 3 variegated (color changing) skeins of each color (eg pink-white). however, not a great selection of blues, teals, and oranges. but, I find that dmcs perle cotton mixes well with threadship so i use that for my teals blues and orange

Dmc threadship is great since you get a pack with lots of great colors and its very inexpensive. It is basically like the loops and thread embroidery floss but a little softer. Threadship is good quality but it is not as good as the dmc you buy individually. Hope this helps 😊

@_arianao DMC Threadship is a line of thread by DMC specifically made for bracelet makers! It is cheaper and a little bit rougher than embroidery floss, from what I have heard, although I have never used it myself.

@knottahti oh ok! Is it still embroidery floss or is it craft cord? Also do you know where to buy it at cause I would want to buy some to try it out?

I have used the threadship threads. From my experience, it's really similar to craft chord and it's sort of weaved together. I find that it breaks easily because I tie my knots kind of roughly and so it will snap a lot for me. I am using it in a pattern right now and it starts to get warn down and I know when it's about to snap. I do really like the string though and it probably won't snap for people who tie their knots suuuper tight.
