There are 2 ways that I like doing a teardrop loop with even strings (18 strings), the first option, is taking the leading-string (that your doing the loop in) and add maybe 2-3 inches to the other side and then make your loop, you will have a little tail, but you can just knot over it and another base string for like 3-5 rows and then cut it off.The second option is to put 2-3 inches onto the side that you're doing the loop on, fold it over so that it's with all of the other strings (if that makes sense), and then carefully make the first and second FB or BF knots to secure it in place, and then just make the rest of your knots on top of all of the string like you normally would. Once your loop is done, same with the other method just knot on it with another base string for a couple of rows and then you can cut the tail off. I used to do the second option on all of my bracelets, but I find that the first option is easier. If when you are doing your loop you make a slip knot to hold it in place, you would just add the tail to that slip knot and continue knotting on the other side. I really hope that this makes sense, this is just how I do it |
