I wasn’t sure what to call this question, but when I don’t pull my knots to hard there’s always gaps in between the knots, but if I pull to much it makes to bracelet curve around the edges.

You’ll get the knot tension right with practice, I had gaps in my bracelets for ages until I figured it out

you could try to wiggle the string when you tighten the knot. So rather than immediately tightening and going onto the next string, wiggle it as you tighten it (as the knot goes further up the string, wiggle the thread in your hand back and forth) It'll help prevent the curving. It's always helped me, especially if I'm having trouble getting the knots to lay right. Taking the time after you make your knots to adjust them will also help with the gaping, without you having to make your knots tighter!

Work on knot tension and practice because after a while will become consistent and look neat. When I first started making bracelets I had so many gaps but once I practiced they got better.
