You most likely are making the knots very tight, to make them longer or less stiff tie them less tight.

It is most likely because your knots are to tight so try knotting less tight next time

If you want to make looser knots, there are some tutorials on here. Try loosening the first half of your knot to prevent as much tension, and then do the second part like you normally would, so everything stays in place. It should help with the stiffness 🙂
