So I want to make a normal bracelet but it's SO HARD!! I don't get how to write the knots, or to even come up with good patterns that aren't taken already. I don't know how people make really pretty, complicated patterns like #62996 or #60572. I don't understand how to write the knot structure to make the bracelets...or anything else, actually! Help!!😟

You can use graph paper to design normal patterns and then transcribe them into the generator. Here's a tutorial on how to design patterns using graph paper. https://www.braceletbook.com/tutorials/34_designing-normal-patterns/

What can also help is to use a clickable generator (we don't have one yet on braceletbook but it's been worked on) like the one empatheo explains in this video https://youtu.be/5Z-POel3rUA

And of course you have to get inspiration. From personal experience I can say that it just came to me once I started designing patterns. (It's slightly annoying sometimes because sometimes I think of a pattern in the middle of the day when doing something else and then I have to notes to not forget it.)

I've always gotten inspiration!! For my design #55372 I was watching a video on how to do #8889 and decided that I really liked the way the first half of it looked and did my own spin on it, and this was before i knew bb existed. I took that inspiration and made my own design, So that's what I would recommend you doing! Find designs you really like, but that you can enough so you're not stealing the design, and do that!
