Hi Alice! I know the struggle with weak clipboards! When I started out, I had on before I invested in my clipboard! Have you tried different types of tape? I know that scotch, washy, and masking tape are pretty weak and cant be tricky when first anchoring your string! If you still wanted to go the tape route, and only have scotch, washy, or masking tape at your disposal, do not be afraid to pile on the take at the start of your piece! I also recommend duct tape when anchoring your piece! If you want to use your clipboard, I recommend buying a binder clip! I bought a pack of jumbo binder clips and sometimes I still use them with my strong clipboard for extra support! If you wanted to go the safety pin route, you are not alone in your struggles! A few weeks ago, I was teaching my friend how to make a bracelet over zoom and she couldn't anchor her bracelet with a safety pin for anything. SHe needed a bigger one! Definitely try safety pins that aren't huge, but a good midsize, and try weaving the first safety pin in and out of your initial loop! Just so you arent actually stabbing your bracelet and allowing yourself to get tangles. |

if yu still want to go the clipbord roud there are a few methods 1. If you have a clipboard with just a wire in the holding part just knot your bracelet on it and you ae ready to go 2. You could also use foldback clips if you have them at your disposal |

The full metal clips on a clipboard are best the wire clip isn't easy to use. Dollarama has the best type of clipboards for like $3 and they work very well

I have a mini clip board that I got at the thrift store! I think it works just fine but before I would clip then onto my hydroflask and make them in there. I also don’t find tape very useful in keeping the bracelet down

But I’d say go with a clipboard! They are cute and you can personalize them! You can use them for many things and they don’t produce waste like tape does
