I’m making a cow print alpha for my Etsy shop and the question that’s been bothering me for weeks popped up “should I make it have trIangle ends? Should I make it have a loop?” Whats the difference between the two and how does the loop even work? If someone could please clear this up I would be very thankful!

If it’s the cow print alpha I’ve been seeing going around I recommend you look at masha tutorial for starts of alphas(it’s the one with the moon bracelet) and you can always do a loop that goes into triangle ends masha knots has a tutorial on loops on her channel as well. I hope this help you some🙂

Loops and triangle ends are not mutually exclusively.

Your first decision would be: do you want a loop on one side and ties on the other or do you want ties on both sides?

There are different things you can do after a loop. You could do a single triangle end after a loop, you can do two triangle ends after a loop or you could do two half triangle ends after a loop (that would be called a teardrop loop). You can also do several loops to start a bracelet.

For a smaller bracelet it's best to do just one triangle end or a teardrop loop. If the bracelet is wider two triangle ends or even more might potentially make sense.

for me when I'm making a bracelet for myself I prefer a loop start. But a lot of other people prefer to have triangle ends and for me to do a pull tight ending. for this I lay the time ends one over the other and I take a new piece of sting and do a few knots. then when you put the bracelet on you pull both the ends and you don't have to mess around trying to tie the ends ❤️ 🙂 😊hope this is helpful
