Warnings Before Bans??

Am I the only one annoyed about not getting a warning before you get banned? I tried to contact the admin about my old account but he never answered me. I don't think people should just get an automatic ban, there should be a warning system.

I didn’t know you could be banned! If I may ask, what did you do? Is there anywhere you can find out how to be banned? Like guidelines to make sure you follow the rules.

@IFoundNemo apparently I "spammed" one star when I maybe gave 2/3 one stars in a row ? It just happened to be that the people I gave the one stars to were the same users, so I guess it made it look like I had spammed when I didn't and didn't mean to. I tried to see if this was against the rules but there isn't much said about this, and since admin still hasn't msged me back I can't really do anything about it. That is also why I'm so frustrated as well, there isn't a warning system or a clear cut rule about this so idk what to say. Tbh I think the only reason it happened was bc I rated a 12 yr olds pattern one star and she said she was gonna tell admin on me, but why have the rating there if you're gonna ban someone for using it ? I just want my account back tbh, I won't rate a pattern ever again if that's what it took lmao

@2006_Mandy yeah apparently since a mod said I "spammed" but like I said earlier I didn't, I gave like 1 star on 2 or 3 of there patterns, all my 1 stars just happened to be the same person. I think what really happened was that the user reported me instead, even though rating 1 star isn't against the rules, and I got banned on my original account because they reported me for "spamming" lmao

Before admin bans someone for spamming bad ratings he always checks how many bad ratings a person has actually given. I'll bring it up to admin that there should be a warning before banning someone. I remember how frustrated I was when a pattern of mine got removed but I didn't get a warning so I had to start from scratch to improve the pattern. |

@halokiwi but then that raises another issue because once you have rated something you can not remove a rating. Bad ratings are not always intentional. Also, even if someone was to give some bad ratings that does not mean it was spammed. Finally, if he checks how many bad ratings you have given and will ban you for that, why is rating a function anyway? I really just want my other account unbanned since I put so many months into it. This ban seems unfair for a number of reasons.

If a bad rating happens by accident many users will tell the creator that it happened by accident. Therefore it is unlikely to get reported over just accidental ratings. If you of course give a person several bad ratings in a row that can't be explained away with it having happened on accident and you are likely to get reported for it. The amount of ratings gets checked to see if the claim that a person has spammed is reasonable. Of course there will most likely also be some accidental ratings in it but some high numbers you can't explain away with accidents.Rating is a function that admin plans to remove. Being able to rate patterns is a good idea in general but as you said 1) accidental ratings happen and 2) people use it as a tool to express their general disagreement with a person. If someone posts a controversial pattern many times it can be seen that their patterns that have no relation to the controversial pattern also get a bad rating. Another big issue is people revenge rating by giving others 1 star ratings after receiving 1 star ratings from them not matter if it was intentional or not. |

@halokiwi yes I get what you're saying but like I explained earlier I did not spam. I gave the user who reported me maybe 2/3 1 stars, if there were any others it just happened to be coincidence but they were not all at the same time. My main issue here is getting banned with no warning or getting two parts to a story in a situation. My og account is important to me and I would like it back. I tried to ask admin about it but he never responded to me. There are just many flaws to banning people that are unjust and unfair.

A tip is to only rate patterns 5 stars if you really like it. If you don't just don't rate it.
