Why do alphas have weird edges

I have made a couple of alphas but the edges are always uneven and wobbly and I don’t know how to make the edges smooth

Have you tried the straight edge technique? It's when you finish a row with a forward backward or backward forward knot instead of a normal forward or backward knot

masha knots has a really helpful video! i was having the same problem but as soon as i started using the flat alpha technique my alpha shave improved so much!! i would really recommend checking it out
