Hi guys! I am working on a keychain and it has a lot of strings in the back because of the color switches. Because of the strings the keychain is really thick. I was wondering what would happen if I cut the excess string in the back. If anyone has tried to do this before, could you tell me how did it go? Thank you!

I’m pretty sure most people cut the back off I do it always and have never run into a problem if anything glueing or tying the strings in the back makes the bracelet feel weird and cutting the strings off the back is easier

If you are cutting while you are going, MAKE SURE it is not the base string. I have done this way to many times. Anyways, if you cut while your making make sure you are 2-3 rows down. If you are doing it after, you shouldn't have a problem at all.

I cut mine when I'm completely done and use clear nail polish on the ends to make sure they don't move at all

you can totally cut the back of the alpha as long and you don’t cut too close!! if you have little bits peeking out you can just use clear nail polish to put it down

it is better to use clear nail polish when people will not be wearing your creation. i would use clear nail polish on wall hangings and keychains instead of bracelets ❤️
