Kinsey B has a tutorial on her channel for attaching base strings to a D ring keychain, but it’s the same technique for wooden dowels. There’s also a ton of other tutorials on YouTube

You can use lark head knots I believe Nini Knots and Kinsey B both show how to do them in their keychain tutorials.

You don’t need to watch the keychain tutorial all it is, is the larks head knot and there are many simple short tutorials on that knot

It is called a larks head knot. I can explain it’s really easy but there are short tutorials that u can watch. You need to make the base string however long u think it should be, and then double it. Then, you fold it in half and put that loop on the front of ur dowel. Then, put ur fingers through the loop and pull the ends in and then it is attached!
